Let’s make a difference together.
Sustainability
Whilst more and more fashion brands have just started considering the environmental impact of the industry and their production, DANGROUP has been eco-conscious for years. We support our clients with a wide range of sustainable fabrics sourced and manufactured in ethical ways, helping our clients to be more eco-responsible and expand their ‘sustainability offer’ toward their consumers.
We hold certifications to the largest global eco-initiatives and standards within sustainability and ethical production and believe this is the future for our industry. With our large sustainable and recycled fabrics portfolio, we help support textile innovation and can offer you more options as well as reasons to choose responsibly.
Our Certifications:
We are certified and compliant with the following initiatives:
-
GOTS Certified Cotton is a more sustainable alternative to BCI cotton and has been certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard.
GOTS is the world-leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. GOTS-certified final products may include fibre products, yarn, fabrics, clothes, home textiles and more.
There are two grades:
’GOTS Organic’ (products containing at least 95% organic fibre) and
’GOTS Made with organic’ (products containing at least 70% organic fibre).Source: www.global-standard.org

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a global non-profit organization and the largest cotton-sustainability program in the world. BCI contributes to the UN's goals to make global cotton production better for the farmers, to achieve better global water sustainability, and to better the environment the cotton grows in, with the goal to improve the future of the cotton industry.

The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the improvement of working conditions in the supply chain, with factories audited against the BSCI base code. It was set up on the initiative of the Foreign Trade Association in response to the debate on how to achieve convergence in the field of corporate social responsibility. It implements the principle international labor standards, such as International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions and the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), and guidelines for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Global Recycle Standard (GRS) (Recycled polyester)
GRS is a global non-profit organization that promotes responsible and sustainable development in the textile industry. It enhances products made from recycled materials, in compliance with environmental and social criteria extended to every stage of the production chain. With this standard, Textile Exchange acknowledges the crucial importance of recycling for the growth of a sustainable production and consumption model. It aims to encourage the reduction of resource consumption (virgin raw materials, water and energy) and to increase the quality of recycled products.
